چکیده
Abstract In bridge structural health monitoring, typically the dynamic response of system is used to assess condition bridge. However, interaction between a and passing vehicle imposes non-stationarity on response, whereby modal parameters become time-dependent detecting damage, for example, based parameters, becomes challenging. Dynamic vehicle-bridge (VBI) responses have mainly been investigated damage detection through identifying signal singularities abrupt changes. The are usually associated with high-frequency components (relative natural frequencies), it demanding isolate damage-induced from those caused by either an operational condition, i.e., track irregularities, or noise. Unlike range, influence resonance frequency coupled has not fully explored. present study proposes shape instantaneous as sensitive feature in which dynamics can be excluded. This demonstrates feasibility approach applying Wavelet Synchrosqueezed Transform (WSST). this variation induced distinguished vehicle. Several scenarios that implemented numerically analyzed verify method’s performance. results demonstrate high resolution extracted VBI outperforms determining local disruption, leading damage. A Damage Index (DI) also proposed attempt quantify severity.

Instantaneous frequency estimation based on synchrosqueezing wavelet transform
Abstract Recently, the synchrosqueezing transform (SST) was developed as an alternative to the empirical mode decomposition scheme to separate a non-stationary signal with time-varying amplitudes and instantaneous frequencies (IFs) into a superposition of frequency components that each have well-defined IFs. The continuous wavelet transform (CWT)-based SST sharpens the time-frequency representa...
متن کاملSubsea Free Span Pipeline Damage Detection Based on Wavelet Transform under Environmental Load
During their service life, marine pipelines continually accumulate damage as a result of the action of various environmental forces. Clearly, the development of robust techniques for early damage detection is very important to avoid the possible occurrence of a disastrous structural failure. Most of vibration-based damage detection methods require the modal properties that are obtained from mea...
متن کاملEdge Detection with Hessian Matrix Property Based on Wavelet Transform
In this paper, we present an edge detection method based on wavelet transform and Hessian matrix of image at each pixel. Many methods which based on wavelet transform, use wavelet transform to approximate the gradient of image and detect edges by searching the modulus maximum of gradient vectors. In our scheme, we use wavelet transform to approximate Hessian matrix of image at each pixel, too. ...
متن کاملDamage Detection of Bridge by Rayleigh-Ritz Method
As a result of environmental and accidental actions, damage occurs in structures. The early detection of any defect can be achieved by regular inspection and condition assessment. In this way, the safety and reliability of structures can be increased. This paper is devoted to propose a new and effective method for detecting, locating, and quantifying beam-like structures. This method is based o...
متن کاملPeriodicity Detection Based on Instantaneous Frequency
Periodicity is commonly found in many physical phenomena. This paper describes the notion of instantaneous frequency amplitude spectrum (IFAS) which originally developed in the context of time-frequency signal analysis. The IFAS provides better the harmonic structure representation of speech signal than the short time Fourier transform (STFT) amplitude spectrum. We define harmonicity measure as...
